FUTURE HOUSE The New Domestic Landscape – House 109

Global Design News and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design launched the book FUTURE HOUSE The New Domestic Landscape published by Metropolitan Arts Press, Ltd.

“The program recognizes excellence in architecture and urbanism from a global point-of-view.” Winning entries from Future House Awards 2022-2023 such as House 109 can be found in the book, pages 88 and 89.

Nominee – Prémio Municipal de Arquitetura de Ílhavo – Arch House

The Arch House is nominated for the award “Prémio Municipal de Arquitetura António Sarrico 2023”.

“The Municipality of Ílhavo intends to recognize high quality projects, which increasingly dignify the territory as a space for good practices in terms of Architecture. This first 2023 edition will refer, exceptionally, to the interventions that took place in 2019 , 2020, 2021 and 2022. The next editions of the award will be biennial in nature.”

The award ceremony is scheduled for April 13, 2024, at 6 pm, at Casa da Cultura de Ílhavo, with free entry.

Winner – Future House Awards 2023 – House 109

House 109 is one of the winning projects of the Future House International Residential Awards 2023, organized by Global Design News &The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in the “Private Homes” category.

The house built in Vagos, is the only Portuguese project among the 58 winners of the Future House Awards 2023, which aims to “championing and honoring novel and inventive residential projects on a worldwide level”.

The winners will be on display at CONTEMPORARY SPACE ATHENS/ EUROPEAN CENTER from December 2023 and will also be published in the book FUTURE HOUSE – The New Domestic Landscape *2022-2023.
