This three-bedroom detached house forms part of an urban area under development, situated on the outskirts of the city of Aveiro, between two side streets that give the project its name.
The house is designed to stand alone and takes the form of a single, rectangular structure. It comprises one storey above ground level and one storey below ground level, with no ancillary structures planned; all the living spaces are concentrated within the main building.
Built on a plot 275.1 m deep and 17.8 m wide, the building is proposed to be oriented lengthwise along the plot.

On the front façade, a permeable element is created to provide visual screening and shade, ensuring the privacy of the building from the street.

This is an open structure, comprising a framework of brown aluminium profiles, suspended above the ground and fixed to the building’s façade, lending a sense of lightness to the architectural design despite the solidity of its form.

An element that arouses curiosity and allows the gracefulness of a house that turns entirely towards its glazed rear courtyard, whilst remaining closed off from the street front.
The open courtyard created by the metal structure allows for the creation of a more private landscaped space, situated very close to the windows of the south-facing master suite.

This is a compact house, where the layout is cohesive, focusing on the essentials of family comfort.

The building’s design sought to link the interiors with the surrounding outdoor environment, ensuring that all the main living spaces have openings for natural light and ventilation, both on the sides of the building and, in particular, at the rear, where the home’s social areas (living rooms and kitchen) benefit from a fully glazed façade, fostering a closer connection with the landscaped outdoor space of the garden.

Here, a large terrace allows for the comfortable use of this outdoor space, which includes a semi-covered area with a brown metal pergola, a barbecue area and an open-air, infinity-edge swimming pool.

The design premise is harmony between the built interior and its well-maintained, comfortable outdoor space. It is, therefore, a simple building, but one strategically laid out to ensure comfort and a sense of closeness.
