The house is located in Algarve region – Alma Verde Village & Spa resort. The lot has an irregular shape, including a curved line which follows the public road adjacent to the roundabout. Its distinct morphology is due to the natural slope.
Thus, it is proposed a subtle volume and all the required spaces are organised in a one-story house. Its geometrical concept is designed in a “L” shaped form and faces the patio located to the south, promoting the best sun exposure and intimacy, as it becomes private from the public domain. Therefore, the front façade (north) is almost blind, unlike the back façade (south) which opens entirely to the patio. On the north side, it is designed a wooden pergola, providing protection for vehicles.

The building is materialized to fit into its surroundings. It features white walls except in the exterior entrance hall and the walls between the pergola and the patio located at north side, which will be covered with natural wood-slat panels (medium brown). A minimal detailing will be applied at the bottom of the exterior walls – a skirting line painted in sand tone.
The design is simple and discreet by its form and chosen materials. In addition, it is designed two chimneys embellished in lace-like tracery, inspired by the old tradition of Algarve.
The simplicity finds affinities with the traditional architecture and promotes its aesthetics influence.
